Who We Are
Here at The Magoo Room, we are driven by a single goal — to provide a sanctuary for kittens and cats that have lost their sight. We rescue, accept, and provide a permanent home for these blind feline friends in the hope of providing a loving and safe environment where they can adapt and flourish.

You Can Make a Difference
How It Works
In February 2005, The Magoo Room was incorporated in North Carolina and granted 501c3 status. We have chosen not to compete with other local rescue groups for funds as they are providing important services for a large number of animals. Although still important, we are helping comparatively few.
Many of our cats have ongoing health concerns that often require daily medications and/or treatment. To offset the significant cost of veterinarian services, we have developed several avenues of income — some of which cost you nothing.

IN MEMORY
Barbara Evans Miller
Late in 2018, Barbara was losing her battle with cancer, and sadly, she passed in November. As expected, her plan for The Magoo Room provided a permanent home for its residents as promised. Thankfully, the use of her home, also the home of The Magoo Room, was given to her successor, allowing the cats to remain in an environment familiar to them. Thank you, Barbara, for your legacy!
