Nutter Butter

In January of 2004, I located a blind dilute tortie cat in South Carolina. She was with a rescue group that fell on hard times and was transferred to another rescue group. It took until May of 2004 to be able find and finally to adopt our sweet Nutter Butter, but patience has paid off, big time. Nutter is the sweetest, most affectionate cat of the group. She loves to snuggle and be held. Nutter's sightless eyes look strange, and with her slight limp and crooked tail that is cut short, we suspect that she had been in an accident in the past, perhaps with a fan belt. Today though, she has gained weight and most traces of a limp have disappeared.  

(2017 update) For a long time Nutter chose to sun in the courtyard, but now has asthma and weak knees. She does not move around much and has a low-level litter box so as not to stress her knees. She is taking several medicines, including an occasional emergency inhaler.
